Important: this is not medical advice
Flair products are lifestyle wellness products, not medical devices, medicines, or smoking cessation aids. Nothing on this website constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a recommendation to start, stop, or change any course of treatment. Always consult your GP or a qualified healthcare professional for any health-related decision.
What Flair is — and what it isn't
Flair sells aromatherapy inhalers and plant-derived flavour refills designed as a lifestyle alternative to smoking or vaping. They are not therapeutic products, smoking cessation devices, medicines, supplements, or medical devices. They are not licensed, registered, or regulated by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and have not been evaluated for the diagnosis, treatment, cure, mitigation, or prevention of any disease or condition.
Any benefits or experiences described on this site, in our marketing, or in customer testimonials reflect individual user experiences only. Results vary, are not guaranteed, and should not be interpreted as typical, expected, or clinically supported outcomes.
Should I consult a doctor before using Flair?
Flair products are generally well-tolerated by healthy adults aged 18 and over. You must consult your GP or a qualified healthcare professional before using any Flair product if any of the following apply to you:
- You are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding
- You have any respiratory condition, including (but not limited to) asthma, COPD, bronchitis, emphysema, sleep apnoea, recent chest infection, or any chronic or acute lung condition
- You have any known or suspected allergies, hypersensitivities, or intolerances to essential oils, botanical extracts, terpenes, food substances (including nuts, dairy, gluten, soy, citrus), fragrances, propylene glycol, vegetable glycerine, ethanol, or any food/cosmetic ingredient
- You are taking any prescription or over-the-counter medication, including (but not limited to) antidepressants, anxiolytics, blood thinners, blood pressure medication, immunosuppressants, hormonal medication, or any medication metabolised by the liver or kidneys
- You have or have had a heart condition, high or low blood pressure, arrhythmia, or any cardiovascular condition
- You have or have had a history of anaphylaxis, severe asthma attacks, or any severe allergic reaction
- You have any neurological condition (including epilepsy or seizure disorders), liver or kidney condition, autoimmune condition, or any chronic medical condition
- You are recovering from, being treated for, or have a history of addiction or substance dependency (including but not limited to nicotine, tobacco, alcohol, or controlled substances)
- You are under 18 — our products are not intended for, marketed to, or sold to anyone under the age of 18 under any circumstances
If any of the above apply to you, do not use Flair products until you have spoken with a qualified healthcare provider who is familiar with your full medical history and who has expressly confirmed that use is appropriate for you. Flair cannot and does not provide individual medical guidance.
Quit-smoking journey: If you are using or have been prescribed nicotine replacement therapy, Champix, Zyban, or any other smoking cessation medication, consult your GP or NHS stop smoking advisor before using Flair. Flair is not a substitute for, nor is it intended to be used alongside, medical smoking cessation programmes without professional supervision.
How to use Flair safely
- Read and follow all product packaging and labelling carefully before each use.
- Inhale gently. Do not draw deeply or rapidly.
- Stop use immediately if you feel any irritation, coughing, dizziness, nausea, shortness of breath, chest discomfort, light-headedness, headache, or any unusual sensation.
- Do not exceed the recommended use frequency described on the product packaging or product page.
- Do not share your inhaler with anyone else — it is a personal-use product.
- Do not modify, dismantle, attempt to refill with anything other than official Flair refills, or use the device with any substance not supplied by Flair.
- Use of the product with any third-party refill, oil, liquid, or substance immediately voids all guarantees, refunds, and any potential liability claim against Flair.
- Store products in a cool, dry place, out of the reach of children, infants, and pets.
- Do not use after the expiry / best-before date printed on the product.
- Discontinue use immediately and seek medical advice if you experience any unusual or persistent symptoms.
Possible side effects
Most people use Flair without issue. As with any product containing natural botanical ingredients, essential oils, or inhaled aromatics, some individuals may experience:
- Mild throat, mouth, or nasal irritation or dryness
- Mild headache, dizziness, or light-headedness — particularly when first trying a product or a new flavour
- Nausea or stomach upset
- Coughing
- Skin or contact reactions if any liquid contacts the skin or eyes
- Allergic reactions (which can include rash, hives, itching, swelling, breathing difficulty, or — in rare cases — anaphylaxis)
This list is not exhaustive. Individual reactions can vary, and some people may experience effects not listed above. If you experience any adverse reaction, stop using the product immediately and seek medical advice. Persistent or severe symptoms require urgent medical attention.
Ingredients, allergens and intolerances
Our refills are formulated from food-grade and cosmetic-grade ingredients including, but not limited to, natural essential oils, plant-derived flavour molecules, propylene glycol, vegetable glycerine, and small quantities of ethanol used as a natural stabiliser. A full ingredients list is provided on the relevant product page.
You are responsible for checking the ingredients of any product before purchase and use. If you are unsure whether any ingredient is safe for you, do not use the product until you have consulted a qualified healthcare professional. Flair cannot guarantee that any product is free from cross-contamination with any allergen and accepts no liability for any reaction caused by undisclosed sensitivities.
Children and young people
Flair products are intended strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We do not market to, advertise to, or knowingly sell to anyone under 18. All products must be kept out of the reach of children, infants, and pets at all times. If a child or pet ingests, inhales, or otherwise comes into contact with any part of a Flair product, contact NHS 111, your GP, the National Poisons Information Service, or the appropriate emergency service immediately.
No professional relationship
Use of this website, communication with our customer support team, or purchase of our products does not create any doctor–patient, professional, or fiduciary relationship between you and Flair or any of our team members. Our staff are not licensed medical practitioners and any information provided is general only.
